By an order from the Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences and Health Services of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Prof. Ahmad Mohammadi-Farani, a faculty member of the university, was appointed as the editor-in-chief of the scientific-research Journal of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences (JSKUMS) for a period of two years.

In this appointment, Prof. Mohammad Hossein Aarabi emphasized the significance of the role of scientific-research journals in enhancing the national and international standing of the university. He expressed hope that, with the assistance of the Almighty God, adherence to legal and ethical considerations, utilization of knowledge and experience, and incorporation of ideas from esteemed experts and professors, the appointed editor will effectively carry out the assigned responsibilities.

The responsibilities of the editor-in-chief of this journal are as follows:

•Reviewing and providing feedback on the scientific and literary quality of submitted articles and making decisions regarding their acceptance or rejection.

•Selecting qualified and specialized reviewers for the critical evaluation of articles.

•Overseeing the process of article review from submission to publication.

•Inviting capable and committed editorial board members with diverse international affiliations.

•Establishing strategies and policies necessary for attracting international submissions.
